Keynote Speaker: Dr. Dorothy Ann Williams

Dorothy Ann Williams was the first Director of Multicultural Student Affairs at St. Michael’s College from 1990 – 2000. During her tenure at St. Michael’s, she served as advisor to the Martin Luther King, Jr. Society, the Diversity Coalition, and the Vermont Student Support Network. Her Vermont statewide affiliations included serving on the Human Rights Commission, Women of Color Alliance, Leadership Champlain and as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Vermont. A recipient of many awards and honors including the 1998 Sister Elizabeth Candon Distinguished Service Award, 50 year membership Plaque, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority and the Burlington Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Award.

Dr. Williams’ keynote was entitled “Diversity is as diversity does”
